กิเลส

n. lust, desire, the evil side of human nature, proneness to impurity or sin, in Buddhist theology, an unwholesome thought that makes for unhappiness, metaphorically depicted as devil (called กิเลสมาร) barring the way to bliss;

(popularly) passions and prejudices.

(กิ-เหลด) กรรมกิเลส- an action causing impurity, depravity of action, vice of conduct.

เขาทำเพราะกิเลสของเขาเอง He did it because of his own desire.

พุทธศาสนาสอนให้คนละทิ้งกิเลสทั้งปวง Buddhism teaches people to abandon impurity (desire) of all sorts.
